Plavix generic Clopidogrel bisulfate may be described as an oral anti – platelet agent belonging to the class of medications called Thienopyridine.
Furthermore, generic Clopidogrel bisulfate works by permanently fusing itself to the P2Y12 protein found on the outside of blood platelet cells. This in turn prevents the blood platelet cells from sticking together and forming blood coagulations (blood clots).

Lastly, Plavix generic Clopidogrel bisulfate may also be described as a white to off – white powder which is easily soluble in methanol, partially soluble in methylene chloride and practically insoluble in ethyl ether and water.
Plavix generic Clopidogrel bisulfate is used to effectively minimize the chances of a future stroke or heart attack, especially in the case of patients suffering from atherosclerosis.
Furthermore, Plavix generic Clopidogrel bisulfate is also used to effectively reduce and eventually prevent ischaemic complications (reduced or blocked blood supply) especially in the case of a coronary artery complication, peripheral vascular complication and cerebrovascular complication.
Plavix can have severe side effects like convulsions, delirium, anxiety, increase in heart rate, vomiting, nausea, upset stomach, skin rash, Weakening of pulse etc.
Other milder side effects could include: Weakness, drowsiness, stomachache, vision issues, parching of mouth, Insomnia
There could be other possible side effects as well. Physician should be informed as soon as there is anything out of the ordinary.

If you are on an ongoing course of Plavix generic Clopidogrel bisulfate before you commence taking any new medication (either prescription or OTC), you must first consult your health care professional or pharmacist.
This drug should not be repeated without Physician approval even though the symptoms are same as when Plavix was prescribed earlier.
Immediately inform the doctor / local poison control center (1-800-222-1222 for US patients) in case of overdose emergency. Dial 911 if patient loses consciousness or stops breathing.

Do not increase dosage to compensate for missed doses. Take the dose as soon as user realizes that the dose has been missed (unless there is very less time between the next one in which case just take one dose).
Plavix can be addictive and induce similar reaction when abused or stopped abruptly. Plavix can have very serious reactions. It should not be taken in combination with alcohol.
