Paroxetine is an anti depressant.
Paroxetine should not be admnistered to children under 18 years of age.
It is understood that teenagers who take medication like paroxetine run the risk of becoming suicidal.
Pay close attention to your childs behaviour if they are on a course with this medication and inform your health care professional immediately if you notice any sudden/unusual behavioural changes.
Keep all appointments with your childs doctor, as the doctor will want to keep in constant touch through appointments or by telephone.

Paxil Medication
Consult your health care professional for the dosage and take exactly as directed.
Do not increase/decrease the dosage unless advised to do so by your health care professional.
DO NOT increase/decrease your dosage on your own.
Paroxetine (Paxil) tablets are to be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Paroxetine tablets maybe taken with or without food.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.
Difficulty passing urine/urge to pass urine more often
Tingling/pain/numbness in the hands/feet
Unusual tiredness/weakness
Painful/prolonged erection

Excited feelings/actions

Paxil Over Dose
In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

If you miss a dose, consult your health care professional for further guidance. Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Store at room temperature between 15 - 30 degrees C (59 - 86 degrees F) away from heat and moisture.
Generic Paxil - Precaution
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.
Keep all your laboratory appointments and with your health care professional. Your health care professional may order certain laboratory test(s) to check your response to paroxetine.
Do not take any OTC medicine(s) for any ailment(s) before consulting with your health care professional whilst on a course with this medication.
Do not discontinue your medication unless advised to discontinue by your health care professional.
If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
